Does it matter what year the Harvard Classics were published? I looked on Kindle and there are multiple years. Are they all the same content?

It shouldn’t matter which year you choose. The content between publishing year is the same, with the only differences being cosmetic and format.

Although, the format difference between years may cause a slight issue with determining correct page numbers to start your daily readings. I have the Kindle version of a different year and have ran into this problem.

I have provided a link in the book club chat to the original reading plan, which you can also use to access the correct years of the texts that correlate with the plan, exactly. You could then find the correct starting point and search for it (maybe with the opening sentence) in the Kindle app. I’ve done this before and it works well enough.

I hope this helps!

Enormously helpful. Done!

This is a practical and accessible way to reframe our minds. I’ve never heard of Dr. Eliot’s 15-minute reading plan before.

Thank you! Many people haven’t, but I hope it can prove to benefit them in the same ways it did me. Would love to have you tag along!

I’m excited to give this a go

Just so I understand -- Dr. Eliot's 15-minutes-a-day plan starts in January, so I'm assuming you did as well, meaning the book club has been going on for two months, right? How many people are doing it?

Great question! This is just starting (with daily readings beginning March 1). Despite this, we’ll be beginning with the January readings. I have a subscriber chat thread devoted to the book club where I have outlined what we’ll be reading and when. I’ll also be providing weekly reading schedules as reminders for anyone wondering what we should be reading on each day.

As for your question on numbers, I had accumulated an email list of around 40 members, but we’ll see how many join the chat as the weeks progress. If it’s something you’re interested in, we’d be glad to have you be a part of it!
